She shared touching photos with her brother, expressing her joy after being reunited with him following a long and emotional search.

When did Viola’s mother leave? Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, he narrated how they were separated at a young age and the challenges he faced being raised alone.

“This is my younger brother. We were separated 24 years ago when Mother left home in Kano, Kisumu, after the death of her husband. She left me with my grandmother, who has also died, and left with an eight-month-old child, who is the one in the picture now. That was in 2002. She promised to return, but she never did. I kept that promise until I gave up and started questioning myself,” he shared.

Viola said that living without her brother, and without both parents, was very difficult, a situation she never wishes her children to go through.

He revealed that his mother left when he was just six years old, and he spent years hoping she would return as promised.

Viola opens up about posting videos in 2017

“His voice making that promise has never left my mind. I kept wondering what could have happened until he never came back. Thoughts of being rejected or unwanted by my own mother crossed my mind, but I kept believing they weren’t true. I told myself something must have happened. Last month, I posted a video hoping to reconnect with them if they were still alive. TikTok helped me a lot, and I was able to communicate with a family member. Unfortunately, Mom passed away in 2009, leaving Daniel when he was and only seven years old,” he added.

Viola noted that finding her family was a way to find answers about what happened over the past two decades.

He had previously shared a video on Facebook in 2017, but it did not yield results. He later deleted it until recently when he felt compelled to try again.
