“My beloved sister, Dr. Ere Siana Sintei Ogbachi, passed away at 2:45 am on Tuesday, April 14, 2026,” her brother, Meshack N. Sintei, said.

Meshack painfully recounted the last moments of his sister’s life as he struggled to accept the tragic loss.

Last minutes of Ere Siana Sintei Ogbachi

He explained that the medical team worked tirelessly and did their best to save his sister’s life before she died early in the morning.

“We watched him struggle to live. We watched him struggle to breathe. We watched as the team of doctors and specialists at FMC did their best to revive him. We watched him fight for his life, and suddenly the SpO₂ device (blood oxygen meter) in the ICU started to drop from 70 to 50 and then to 0.

At that moment, tears began to flow down my face, and I knew that the end had come. It was a very painful situation, even more so for him.

I want his family and friends to know that he fought until the end. Indeed, a generation has been lost, and Sintei’s family mourns. Be that as it may.

We thank our families, friends, loved ones, and all those who wish us well who have contacted us and continue to support us,” he said.
