The incident happened outside City Hall when the President William Ruto he was addressing the Nairobi County Assembly for the first time.

How did the hooligans rob Harrison Kinyanjui? In the video, Kinyanjui was on his way to his office when he met a crowd of hooligans.

While he was carrying his files, the thugs took his phone and fled, forcing him to seek safety.

According to him, he did not know that hooligans were everywhere and were smoking despite the presence of the police.

“I didn’t know that thugs were everywhere on the same day that the president was addressing the county assembly. They were smoking in broad daylight, even with the police and the president’s security forces nearby. It didn’t take long, they grabbed my phones; the thugs were brave and didn’t show any fear to the authorities,” he said.

Kinyanjui said that despite reporting the incident to the police, no action was taken.

He claimed that he found more than 20 people at the police station, including women who lost their personal belongings and one with a stab wound from the same incident.

“It is pointless to say that this was planned and that the NIS did not know about these thugs in the area where the speech took place,” he said.

What did Kenyans say about the Kinyanjui attack?

Franko Munyu “When I hear the president is there, I walk away, the reason is that I saw Gikomba businessmen being treated by thieves in front of the Kenyan leaders. In front of the bodyguard, in front of the police, KDF, now you should probably just protect yourself man.”

Tony Karanja Kiruka “They are the ones who defend the hooligans even in court; let him face the reality.”

Joseph Maina “If thugs can rob people in broad daylight within a few meters from where the president is, it doesn’t take rocket science to know that those thugs had the government’s blessing and were probably part of the government’s operatives. The president’s security circle extends many kilometers from where he is, and there is no way thugs can do what they want just a few meters from the president’s presence without their blessing. And that’s how Kenya has become. A thug society sponsored by the government.”
