Did the police officers help the Kisumu man?
It is reported that the boda boda driver turned around and headed towards the man who was already on the ground. The attacker hit him again on the head with a motorcycle, while the second suspect got off and stole his phone.
A police officer who was leaving the station saw what was going on and shouted to the attackers to stop while he opened the gate.
The victim was seen shaking on the ground as the officer hurried back into the station to retrieve his weapon.
Despite arriving a little late, the officer tried to follow the attackers, firing in the direction they were running.
The pedestrian was left confused on the ground, with the dogs barking behind.
However, it was not immediately clear if the suspects were shot or arrested by the time of publication.
Opinions of people on the internet about the case
Simo Ow: “This is what is called being beaten. That is a metal with which a relative has been hit on the head and unfortunately you can hear the impact when he was hit and fell. It is a big challenge of insecurity in Kisumu. Being beaten with a metal has become more common in Kisumu. You are put on the head until you lose consciousness.”
Eng. Nelson A. Shabalala: “What I see here is their courage, right outside the police station. Haiti is here.”
Elvis Bwire: “You kill because of a phone? I don’t think that man even has a very expensive phone. Stupid thief.”
Labanito Melau: “Only in Kenya, especially our police officers need a big change, including a return to memorial training. An officer hears cries and noises outside the police station but he slowly comes out with a weapon, then he realizes that it is a robbery and he goes back to run, in fact it is like a whole movie.”
Street Boy: “They are sleeping, while with us, even if your stove falls near their gate, they come running, you will be taken to the station and finish there!”
