According to the worker, the problems started when Anita came home from work, and her husband called her.

“He told her to give him a few minutes to rest, but he didn’t agree, then their argument started. Anita sent me to the store but when I came back they were still arguing,” he said.

Anita’s last words

According to the employee, he heard Edwin accuse Anita of being unfaithful, and Anita also made a similar accusation.

“Anita said, ‘If you have women out there, go and live with them. You don’t even pay rent here. I’m trying to help you but you don’t even want to be helped. Let’s wait until Saturday so that our parents can come and solve these issues. I’ve tried to leave you but you keep following me,'” the worker said directly quoting Anita’s last words.

He said after that, silence reigned in the house, while Edwin went to the kitchen to get the knife that he allegedly used to kill him.

The employee said he tried to call Anita’s name and warn her about the knife, but by then Edwin had already stabbed her.

The employee noted that later, after the victim was rushed to the hospital, Edwin arrived at the hospital drunk.

“I told the doctor not to give him any information and to stop him there. We reported it to the police and then he was arrested,” he said.
