Gachagua claimed that only a few Akorinos attended the service despite the large crowd of people in the event.
Who attended the service of the Corinians in the Palace?
Speaking in the Kiharu constituency on Tuesday, April 14, the former deputy president with a strong voice claimed to be Ruto he invited Kenyans from various places to attend the event.
He mentioned the presence of non-Akorinians, including the former Minister of Commerce Moses Kuria and Laikipia women’s representative Jane Kagiri, at the State House.

“Only 25 Akorinos were present at the service. They went there for personal benefit. Others were given fake turbans (known as turbans). Even Moses Kuria is said to be a Akorino. This Ruto will show us things. He takes Kuria and puts a turban on him and then tells us that he is a Akorino. Kenyans from all parts were told to look for white cloths, even seat covers. Kagiri was given a PCEA Women’s Guild garment that you cannot take off and put on Ruto is confusing the churches and causing confusion in the country,” said Gachagua.
He claimed that even Kuria, despite being seen playing with the president, did not leave the White House wearing a turban.
“If you meet Kuria now, will he be wearing a turban? Isn’t that cheating?” asked Gachagua.
Gachagua challenged the president to invite all denominations to the State House to prove his love for the churches.
He emphasized that the White House is not a church and warned against using it to bribe Kenyans.
Despite the criticism, the opposition leader warned against criticizing the Acorinian church, saying its real members are good people and true believers.
“I want to ask you not to criticize the Acorinians and their church. Those who went there were brokers,” he said, accusing Ruto of paying those who attended to cause confusion.
Furthermore, Gachagua warned the residents of Mount Kenya against inviting the Akorinos who attended the service to perform in their entertainment venues.
What did Moses Kuria say in the White House?
At the same time, speaking at the event, Kuria ignored the previous claims of Gachagua who accused them of attending the service for personal gain.
He confirmed that he is a faithful Catholic and that it was not wrong for Ruto to invite Corinians to the Palace.
“This country is full of pride and arrogance. I woke up today and heard someone saying that the Acorinians have brought their hunger to the White House. Let me ask, the one who says that, does he leave his stomach at home? Another thing, we Catholics will receive the sacrament today; PCEA and ACK will also have their bread and wine. What is wrong with the Acorinians celebrating the same? I am a Catholic, and if my church was here or PCEA or ACK, you would not hear words like this,” he said.

Kuria emphasized unity, noting that all Kenyans should share the nation’s resources to promote the country’s development.
Did William Ruto pay Akorino’s followers?
In the news related to that, Gachagua accused the president of wooing the Corinthians during their visit.
According to the DCP leader, the believers were promised KSh 10,000 as payment for honoring the visit but later received only KSh 3,000 without lunch.
He claimed that the low payment caused everyone to lose KSh 1,200.
