How many points does Manchester City need to win the league?

Arsenal’s loss to Bournemouth on Saturday meant that the momentum was back in Manchester City’s position heading into the final games of the season.

The maximum points Arsenal can get this season is 88 if they win their remaining six games, while Manchester City can only get 85 points.

However, the advantage for Manchester City is that they host Arsenal next week at the Etihad Stadium, which means that one, or both, of them must drop points.

A draw will be enough for Arsenal, as long as they win their next five games, which means Manchester City must win next week to completely change the outlook of the race.

There is a possibility that the two can reach 85 points at the end of the season, reducing the goal difference. Arsenal have 38 points while City have 35 points after the job of demolishing West London.
