One family in the county of Nakuru has gone into mourning following the tragic death of their loved one, who died in a brutal murder.

Mary Njoki Mburu was allegedly killed by her boyfriend, identified as Paul Ndung’u, after reportedly finding her with another man in the house.
The mother of three was killed with a sharp object, which was found at the scene by police, concerned neighbors, and family members.
Paul Ndung’u claims to have been attacked
His grieving sister, Mary Nyambura, spoke with strong emotions as she narrated what happened to her brother.
“We got the news this morning. I received a call from my other sister who had gone to check her farm. When she arrived, she found a crowd of people and asked me to come. She said something had happened but she didn’t tell me what. When I arrived, I found my sister dead. She had been killed by her boyfriend, who later surrendered at the police station. She came with an officer of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to confirm the incident. Paul claimed that she had been beaten by a man, but when they got here and found body of a dead person, he was arrested and taken to the station,” he said.
Nyambura added that for all the time they knew the two, they never heard them arguing, noting that the family did not know Paul well.
Every time the deceased was seen by the suspect, he introduced him as a friend, so the family knew little about him.
Nakuru North Sub County Police Commander speaks
Charity Karimi, Nakuru North Sub-County Police Commander, said Paul arrived at the station at 10:30 am, claiming that he had been attacked the previous night.
“He said he was beaten after visiting him, and found another man in the house, who we are still looking for and trying to identify. The police immediately went to the deceased’s home in Kabartini and found Njoki, 42, dead from injuries.
Their fight is supposed to start at 3 pm. In the morning, Njoki allegedly took a machete and tried to kill his lover, but he avoided the attack, took the machete and killed him,” he said.
Karimi encouraged couples to find peaceful and productive ways to resolve their differences instead of resorting to violence.
