DCI Arrested 2 Manundas of the Dangerous “Confirm” Gang in West Nakuru

Nakuru – Department of the Director of The Criminal Investigation Department (DCI) has announced the arrest of two suspects of robbery and violence.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, April 22, DCI said police officers from the Rhonda Police Station, after being tipped off, carried out an operation that led to the arrest of John Omondi, alias Daddy, and Samuel Kamau, alias Pino.

Why did DCI arrest John Omondi aka Daddy?

According to the statement, the two were arrested threatening and robbing the innocent public.

The DCI revealed that Omondi and Samuel have links with the notorious Confirm gang, a criminal gang that has been terrorizing the residents of Nakuru West.

“The suspects, who have evaded the long arm of the law, were depowered and handcuffed before disappearing into the darkness. Initial investigations link the two to the notorious Confirm gang, a criminal gang that has been terrorizing the residents of Nakuru West,” the statement read.

Are the Nakuru suspects linked to murder?

The DCI said the two, together with James Nduati, alias Jemu, who had been arrested earlier, are prime suspects in crimes including murder and robbery in Nakuru.

“In addition to the recent robbery, Daddy and Pino are the main suspects in a series of crimes, including murder and armed robbery. The two now join their accomplice, James Nduati, aka Jemu, who was already in jail. The three are currently being processed while the police tighten the ropes, ensuring that the case is heard before facing the scales of justice in court,” DCI said.

According to the DCI, the latest arrests confirm the National Police Service’s commitment to dismantle criminal gangs across the country through intelligence-led operations.

In other news, police officers from Mjambere Police Station in Kisauni sub-county arrested two suspected ‘notorious criminals.’

The National Police Service (NPS) announced the arrest on Monday, April 20, revealing that the suspects were arrested after an incident targeting a 21-year-old student at the Technical University of Mombasa (TUM).

The service said that the two are believed to be part of a group of criminals involved in a series of robberies and thefts within the Kisauni and Kadzandani areas.

A search operation after the arrest led to the recovery of stolen household goods and electronic equipment in Barsheba, Kagujo, and its suburbs.

Among the items found were a laptop, a laptop bag, a phone, a gas cylinder, shoes, a box of clothes, sandals, and toys.
