He said planning was critical in the development of urban centres to ensure that expanding settlements were well-structured and in tandem with other vital infrastructural projects
Ottichilo made the observation when team from the Africa Urban Lab, led by Kenya Team Leader of the Urban Expansion Program, Dr. Joseph Akech (Former Mayor of Nairobi), paid him a courtesy call at his office.
During the meeting, the leaders held insightful discussions on promoting economic growth and strengthening urban governance through strategic Urban Expansion Planning.
The visit also focused on exploring potential partnerships aimed at advancing sustainable urban development in the County.
