In a fast-growing city south of Nairobi, this settlement has been home to many working people and families over the years.

However, what makes them more famous is his previous relationship with President William Ruto’s daughter, Charlene Ruto.

Description of Charlene Ruto’s Osere Flats

Public records in 2018 showed that Matiny Ltd, a company in which Charlene was a director and shareholder, had rented a house in Osere Flats to National Police Service.

Another related company, Legend Management Ltd, also linked to the Ruto family, managed 72 houses in the same area.

However, the government stopped large-scale renting of private houses to junior officials and instead introduced housing allowances.

At the time, the disclosure was part of a wider review of the Daily Nation about how politically connected landlords were able to lose millions after then-pres Uhuru Kenyatta ordering the cancellation of those contracts to improve police welfare and reduce costs.

The policy change affected many property owners, but the Ruto family’s connections attracted the most attention due to the size of the investment.

Today, Osere Flats continues to be a residence in Rongai.

A video shared on TikTok shows a large seven-story building. It has a modern design, with houses facing the front having roofs.

The ground floor has many commercial areas, including shops.

The houses are located in several blocks, and the outer area has a cabro floor.

Although Charlene has since been linked to other real estate projects, including her stake in Matiny Ltd which manages properties such as Easton Apartments, Osere Flats is still an important part of the discussion of her previous business interests in the sector.
