The Gunners have looked happy for most of the season, but recent results, along with Manchester City’s poor form, have led to renewed fears that they could miss out again.

Mikel Arteta’s side now lead by six points over Manchester City, who have played one game less. The gap could be three this Sunday if Manchester City win at the Etihad.

Not that Arsenal is completely out of their hands, but they will need a strong performance on Sunday to keep Manchester City at bay. A win or even a draw would bring them back into the race and put them in their hands.

However, and as Pep Guardiola knows, the cup will not be won by beating Arsenal alone. The Spanish specialist revealed that he would treat the game as a final, but the remaining games will be just as important.

“Arsenal is the final for us, for them too. But don’t tell me Brentford at home will be easy, go to Bournemouth to win, win at home against Aston Villa,” he said after defeating Chelsea.

So, if Arsenal don’t work themselves up, here are three teams that could frustrate Manchester City in the title race.

1. Everton (A) – May 4

Manchester City will play their first game at Hill Dickinson Stadium in early May. It is the field where Arsenal and Manchester United they won strongly, while Chelsea lost convincingly 3-0.

Everton are chasing a European place next season and therefore still have something to fight for.

2. Brentford (U) – May 9

After Everton, they will return to host Brentford, who have been difficult customers to deal with.

3. Bournemouth (A) – May 17

It was Bournemouth who beat Arsenal and transferred the advantage to Manchester City, but Guardiola’s team still have to go to the Vitality Stadium.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool both have failed to win there this season, with Arsenal struggling to secure a 3-2 win.

4. Aston Villa (H) – May 24

This will have the last day of the 2022 season written all over it. Aston Villa are still in the hunt for a Champions League spot, and will desperately need those points.

Facing a top-four team on the last day of the season, with the possibility of the title at stake, will not be ideal for Manchester City.

Comparing the remaining matches of Arsenal and Man City

We have also compared the remaining matches between Arsenal and Manchester City, starting with their match on April 19.

Arsenal still have six games to play, while Manchester City have seven.

Apart from Man City, Arsenal will not face any other top five team in their remaining matches.
