The ODM party has reached it UDA two mandatory demands following the approval of his Group of Parliamentarians for negotiations between the two parties.
During a press conference on Tuesday, March 3, Suna West Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed emphasized ODM’s intention to retain all its current seats in Parliament. He also suggested the possibility of regionalization in the 2027 General Election to strengthen the party’s strength.
“PG agrees that the party will retain every parliamentary seat that ODM holds today in the Senate or the National Assembly.

“We are telling any party we cooperate with or want to cooperate with that our seats in the Parliament are not negotiable,” said the MP.
ODM further emphasized that victims of police brutality must be compensated, as outlined in the 10-point agenda that established the Broad-based government.
“The Parliamentary Group insisted on compensation for people affected by the post-election violence since 2017 and money for devolution. The money must be put in the Supplementary Budget which is in Parliament starting tomorrow,” Junet emphasized.
He also announced a joint meeting of the Group of Parliamentarians between ODM and UDA scheduled for March 10, where the leaders will review the progress in the 10-point agenda.
Furthermore, ODM PG supported the decision of the National General Council to remove the General Secretary Edwin Sifuna and called a National Conference of Delegates.
Junet and Member of Parliament for North Suba Millie Odhiambo they dismissed claims of internal divisions, confirming that leaders from Linda Mwananchi and Linda Ground were present at the meeting.
Among those who attended were Deputy Party Leader Godfrey Osotsi and Sabaoti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi.
