Speaking at Jirongo’s home in the city KitaleNakhumicha remembered the time they met and told how he psychologically prepared her to leave the Ministry of Health.
How did Cyrus Jirongo help Susan Nakhumicha?
He added that he knew Jirongo’s family and asked God to rest his soul in heaven.
“I came to offer condolences to this family because I have a special relationship with CJ’s family. One of them was my classmate. And since this sad incident happened, we talked and agreed that I must come to offer my condolences. CJ was a hero among the Luhyas. I only met him twice. The first time was before I entered politics and he gave me advice. The second time was when I had challenges with doctors when I was the Minister of Health. He called me and told me that I could not fully understand what was going on continues,” he said.

Nakhumicha recalled how Jirongo warned him about the fate of his job when doctors went on strike when he was Minister of Health.
According to him, Jirongo advised him to start looking for another plan because he was about to lose his job due to politics.
“He told me this is politics, and since you are our daughter from the Waluhya region, you have raised and proved that we are hardworking people.
This is politics; they will pass, but you need to have a plan. He told me I won’t be in that position for long, so I should plan. From there I started planning because he had seen the future. I didn’t stay long. But who is God? Now I am an ambassador, but here in Trans Nzoia I will come back so that we can plan things again,” he added.

Did Nakhumicha show his house?
In other news, Nakhumicha recently shared a video showing his luxurious house with a green yard while playing with his Caucasian Shepherd dog, estimated to be worth about KSh 150,000.
The video he posted on TikTok caused mixed reactions among people on the net, some praising the stability of his residence while others compared his lifestyle with that of his political opponent, Governor George Natembeya.
Nakhumicha, who was appointed as the permanent representative of the Kenyan nation at UN-Habitat, has indicated his intention to run for the governorship seat of Trans Nzoia in the 2027 General Election.
