Former minister Raphael Tuju he has ordered his family to bury him within 48 hours if he dies, while banning government officials from attending his funeral.
The statement came after what he described as weeks of torture and stress, starting with the confiscation of his property in Karen Street, his arrest and later hospitalization.
Tuju said he has gone through a difficult situation that has made him rethink his relationship with the current government.
“I have told my people clearly that if I die, I will be buried within 48 hours. I do not want to see the government involved in my funeral. I am ready for anything,” Tuju said.
Speaking on Friday, April 10, at his village office in Ralingo, Ndori, Rarieda, where the family prepared a special request, Tuju said he has already identified two places where his family can choose as a burial place.

He said his will was mainly about the administration of President William Ruto, which he believes has denied him his rights.
He criticized the way he was treated after seeking asylum at the Karen Police Station, saying he was arrested, tortured and later released without bail.
Tuju said despite the challenges, he is mentally ready for anything that may happen to him.
“I survived a plane crash where people died, and I also had an accident in Limuru and broke 18 bones. The doctors told me I was only 30 percent able to walk again. But God took care of me. So no one threatens me,” he said.
He added that he currently has no plans to return to electoral politics, stressing that his role is to fight for what he believes is justice and responsibility.

“We say, without any fear, that Raymond Omollo must be arrested. If he is not arrested in the next two weeks, we will take certain measures that will have to force the government’s hand to stop this nonsense.”
The team also sought to quell rumors of a split between the Luo and Luhya communities, announcing meetings in Nakuru on April 19 and later in Kisumu.

Meanwhile, Home Affairs Minister Kipchumba Murkomen defended Omollo, challenging opposition leaders to directly condemn the violence.
“I saw some people who had a meeting with the press, leaders of the opposition, mentioning my Secretary of the Secretary. I want to dare them to come out openly and condemn the violence and condemn the hooligans and the boys who walk with them.”
