The late Member of Parliament died on March 29 while receiving treatment at Nairobi Hospital after a long illness.
At his memorial service, his wife Jackie ignored him Rigathi Gachagua and only recognized President William Ruto with his Deputy Kithure Kindiki.
What did David Kiaraho’s wife say about him?
A video has emerged showing what his wife shared during his greeting, recalling the romantic moments they shared.
“On my 21st birthday, David did something that no one we knew had ever done for his girlfriend. He organized a big birthday party for me at the Nairobi Hilton Hotel and he paid the bill which must have been huge by himself. At the time, he was only a third year architecture student at the University of Nairobi. He was making money doing small businesses, like the cart rental business he started in Ngara. I was loved. I have continued to be loved and pampered by David,” he said.
She added that her husband didn’t stop at anything and made sure he did everything he could to make her happy. He also said that he did not like to fight, and every time a fight happened, he felt very bad.
Jackie told that as a result, he himself lacked the skill to argue because he had no one to compete with him in arguments.
“We have traveled and gone on holiday in Kenya and around the world. We have celebrated many successes together. And through many stages of life. Years ago, he told me he would make me a queen. And he has indeed done so. I am David’s queen. I have had the best marriage that any woman could wish for. God gave me the best. No one even comes close. David was a man ready for love, marriage and commitment,” he added.
He also urged the people of Ol Kalou to consider the qualities of the person they will choose to succeed her husband in parliament, so that he can serve them well.

What did the Kiaraho funeral committee say?
Elsewhere, the Kiaraho funeral committee strongly criticized Gachagua and his allies for using the memorial service to make political attacks.
The chairman of the committee, Kwenya Thuku, expressed his regret that the honorable event was “hijacked” and used to spread hatred against the President Rutosomething that robbed the event of its dignity and respect for the deceased.
Following the tension between Ruto and Gachagua in the field, the committee issued a strong warning that politicians with ulterior motives are no longer welcome in the remaining funeral activities.
