Leader of the Wiper Patriotic Front party Kalonzo Musyoka condemned the attack and criticized the faltering justice system, questioning why the attackers have not been caught.

He called for the immediate resignation of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior Raymond Omollo, who has been widely cited as being involved in the deadly attack.

‎”To PS Raymond Omollo: you have 24 hours to resign. Political crime has no place in Kenya. God’s word is clear in Exodus 20:13: ‘You shall not kill’. Our constitution also mandates it: Articles 10, 19, 21, and 43 protect life, dignity, freedom of expression, and the rule of law. There is no political agenda above all this. If Omollo does not resign himself, then his superior must remove him, and do so quickly, if he hopes to convince Kenyans that he had no hand in this. Silence and inaction is not an option. We pray for Senator Osotsi’s complete recovery and we stand firm with his family in this difficult time.”
