Mbugua was on the same panel with Michael Pundo, Cleophas Malala and Dennis Itumbi to discuss drama festivals, which have raised many issues due to the content presented by students.

What did Ian Mbugua do on Jeff Koinange Live?

“The conference that Itumbi is referring to that came with those rules; that conference, you only receive an invitation if you are the owner of the TSC number,” said Malala.

Malala, who dominated the conversation, took turns to counter each guest’s arguments and at one point referred to Mbugua as a defender of the government.

“These are the people I’m talking about. The people at the top who don’t really understand the real basis of the art of drama. They are the same rules that Itumbi was referring to. The rules of the Kenya National Drama Festival insist that if a play is presented at the festival, it must be done by someone with a TSC number,” said Malala.

At some point in the discussion, after Malala finished speaking, Mbugua, who seemed bored for most of the conversation, stood up and left while wishing everyone a good night.

“Good night, please pick up the microphone, please pick up the microphone,” he said.

Jeff and the rest of the guests laughed as he left before continuing the heated discussion.

What happened to the drama that touched Singapore?

In a separate report, Itumbi recently denied allegations that a school play from Moi High School Mbiruri was banned from national drama festivals for playing up the President’s “Singapore dream”. Ruto.

He explained that the play, called The Gapjust failed to qualify for the national level after placing fourth at the regional level.

The controversy arose amid reports of a tightening of festival regulations that prohibit political propaganda and impersonation of public officials at student performances.

Itumbi encouraged those who like to express political opinions to use business halls instead of school platforms, stressing that the rules about political content have always been in the book of festival rules.
