Former Vice President Rigathi Gachagua He has pointed the finger of blame at the leader of the majority in the National Assembly Kimani Ichung’wah for lying to President William Ruto.
Addressing mourners at the funeral service of the late Ol Kalou Member of Parliament Njuguna Kiaraho on Wednesday, April 8, Gachagua claimed that he warned him Ruto before his removal in 2024.
The former MP asked the mourners to listen to Ruto’s speech, warning that they will only have a problem with the Kikuyu MP.
According to Gachagua, the Majority Leader in the National Assembly and his allies have betrayed the Agikuyu community.
“I and my people have come with peace, I’m sure Mr. President you have come with peace. We loved you, we respected you and even if we have problems with you we will solve them during the election. If you are in the seat, continue to work for us as you can. Those people the president would have trouble with is the Ichung’wah if he came here. Because they are traitors to our community. They are people who have insulted the community. They say that we are tribal and they are the Kikuyu. Those are your young people, president. nilikuwambia kabla hatujakosana kabisa. Nilikuambia. Nikakuambia hao vijana unatembea na hao watakuweka kwa shimo. Akina Ichung’wah nilikuambia watakuweka kwa shimo. Mimi nlikushauri rais nikakuambia hawa watu wa mlima hawapendi usaliti. Itold you betrayal is not forgiven among our people. You chose to listen to Kimani Ichun’wah sasa hii jamii imekukataa. Na nilikuwa nimekuambia. Sasa huyu Ichung’wah alikuambia ati Riggy G atasahaulika baada ya wiki mbili sasa ni miaka ngapi? Mr I am begging you, you are my brother. Please, create peace with this community. Gachagu said.
