A great sadness has spread in the village of Lugulu in Butula County kissfollowing the tragic deaths of three women.

The victims, identified as Carolyne Wewa, Lilian Adiedo, and Margaret Kadenge, lost their lives in a road accident.
The fatal accident happened along Bumala-Butula Road in the Bar Ober area after the car they were traveling in lost direction, overturned several times, and finally collided with force.
In addition, the three women were rushed to the Busia County Referral Hospital for treatment, but sadly they died while receiving treatment.
Six others sustained injuries and were admitted to the same hospital, where they are still recovering.
What did Busia’s brothers say after their mother’s death?
Following the accident, Carolyne’s children spoke to the media, expressing their pain after losing their beloved mother.
“He was in a bad condition in the hospital, and we were praying for his recovery, but we could see he was in a lot of pain,” said his son.
The grieving man noted that the road where his mother died had very few bumps and was very narrow.
He said the driver seemed to lose control while trying to overtake the boda boda driver, which caused the accident.
He asked the relevant authorities to investigate the matter.
Carolyne’s daughter, Mercy Rajula, said she could not understand what was happening when she arrived at the hospital. He remembered the time when he received the bad news, which left him with great pain in his heart.
“It was difficult to know if she was dead or still alive when she was brought to the hospital. We had to wait for the doctors to examine her and a few minutes later one of the staff came to me and told me that my mother is dead,” said Mercy.
The three women reportedly died while returning home from a funeral.

A man shares the last message he sent his sister before she died

The woman was among the 11 passengers who died in the Gilgil accident in the Karianndusi area on Friday night, April 3.
In a heartbreaking online post, her distraught brother revealed how he had been trying to reach her, asking her where she was.
