How did Kindiki ignore Gachagua before the Ol Kalou election?
Speaking during a political event in Maara constituency on Monday, April 6, he dismissed Gachagua as “small minded”, questioning his record as a district officer.
“Wasn’t he a DO stealing relief food? He’s a small-minded person. Right now he’s trying to oppose us. I’ve told him several times to let me go. I haven’t even started to answer him. That person doesn’t know me. I’ll humiliate him,” said Kindiki.
The deputy president criticized Gachagua for playing low-level politics and showing arrogance instead of focusing on important issues.
He explained that he is ready to face Gachagua in the Nyandarua by-election just a few hours after the opposition announced that they will face the by-election unitedly.
“He came bragging about Mbeere North, I wondered who he was. After the election, I showed him the dust. The by-election was held again for two MCA positions in the same area, and we defeated him again. We have an upcoming by-election in Ol Kalou, Nyandarua; we will meet that person. We will deal with him properly, and that’s when respect will start to reign,” he said.
What are Kindiki and Gachagua arguing about?
Kindiki continued to mobilize support for the re-election of the President William Ruto in the 2027 General Election despite ongoing criticism of government projects.
Meanwhile, the two have been fighting over control of Mount Kenya since Gachagua was ousted from power in October 2024.
Kindiki enjoys the support of all the leaders associated with the government Kenya First together with residents who have announced him as a beacon, while Gachagua continues to fight for influence through various political alliances and the narrative of “betrayal.”
