Speaking during a job inspection in Kianjai Market, Tigania West constituency, a few weeks ago, Kindiki said he had forgiven Gachagua after months of tension and ridicule.
He said that as an elder of Njuri Ncheke, he is not allowed to engage in insults of any kind against his brothers or fellow leaders.
“I have no problem with my brothers who are also leaders. Because I am an elder in this area and a leader, I understand that there is today and tomorrow, and after leadership, we will still remain one family. Even those who insult me, I have forgiven them unconditionally. I do not want to get involved in heated discussions with my brothers. As an elder of Njuri Ncheke, I know that we must prioritize peace and harmony,” he said.
The famous politician said there must be respect among the elders of the community, insisting that all leaders who visit the area are allowed to express themselves without threats.

“I will not insult him. I will not respond to insults because, as an elder, I understand that you cannot insult your brother and the leader,” he added.
He emphasized that the government of Kenya First under the leadership of President William Ruto will not tolerate contempt, saying that the institution of the presidency is not to be trifled with.
At the same time, Gachagua has been mocking and imitating Kindiki in his public meetings.
Kindiki’s statements come when the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is seeking a chance to succeed him in the 2027 General Election.
The former opposition party has said that it cannot be in government and remain powerless.
According to the ODM national chairman, Gladys Wangahaving power will enable the party to deal with various challenges with a firm position, while stressing that they must be in a broad leadership structure as equal partners.
