Jackline’s body was found dumped in a stone quarry in Seven Mile, constituency of Luck and leaving his family shocked and saddened by the way he was killed.
This came after Awuor, who was working as a security guard at the Geothermal Development Company, failed to report to work on Sunday, March 29, prompting his employer to contact his family with concern.
He had left his house early that morning, ready for work, but he did not arrive.

Was Jackline Awuor in a troubled relationship?
Later that day, he received the heartbreaking news that his sister’s body had been discovered in the quarry.
Awuor’s other sister, Anne Atieno, explained that her relationship was troubled, as the couple often argued about money.
“If he had money, the man would have fought for him, even made him leave a better job, promising to use his savings to start a business for him, but he didn’t do it,” said the sad sister.
She also revealed that Awuor had called her three weeks ago, saying he was planning to end the relationship.
“I asked him to move on and even advised him to move and live near me because the man is afraid of me,” Anne added.
The North Nakuru North Sub-County Police Commander, Charity Karimi, said initial reports indicated that Awuor had already moved out of the house where he lived with his estranged girlfriend.

“They had a history of domestic issues, and the man threatened that if she left him, he would kill her. However, this was not officially reported to the police,” Karimi said.
The police have launched an investigation related to the case and a search for the suspect who has not yet been found, while the family is preparing to bury their daughter and sister.
“Please do everything possible to get his head because we can’t take him home without it. We also don’t know where his baby is, we’re not sure if the man took the baby too,” Anne said, her voice heavy with sadness.
