The video showed the last 15 minutes of Davine Kwamboka’s life and what happened before and after his death.
Kwamboka was with her husband, Johnson, and an unknown man when they entered their home before dark.
Kwamboka’s friend speaks with emotion
A friend and colleague of Kwamboka revealed that the couple had returned home earlier that day due to family problems, intending to resolve them privately.
“The husband was angry, and they argued for a while before he suggested that they return home to resolve their differences. The man was drunk. He even wanted to beat him,” said Doto Dida.
When they got home, Johnson was seen taking something from the window while on the phone, while Kwamboka, who was wearing a green T-shirt and blue jeans, opened the metal door and went inside.
She was followed by her husband and an unknown man, who closed the door behind them when they stayed inside for several minutes.
Brother Kwamboka wants justice
“How is it that they entered as three, and then a few minutes later we are told that he is no longer there? He has small children going to school who need him. We want justice and a thorough investigation. We want to know the cause of his death,” said Richard Nyahega, a relative of the family.
CCTV footage later showed that although the three entered, only the unidentified man left alone, closing the door behind him.
He looked worried, pacing around and making several phone calls until the boda boda driver arrived.
The video then showed the man and the driver dragging Kwamboka’s body out of the house. She appeared to be unconscious, while her husband came out later looking remarkably calm and composed.
Kwamboka’s body was loaded onto a boda boda
They placed his body in the compound and briefly examined him, watching his last movements before he died.
When they failed to carry the body, they called other men to help lift it and put it on the motorcycle.
After struggling for a while, they were able to place the body in the boda boda, with Johnson holding it as they set off.
However, they were later arrested while transporting the body, along with other suspects believed to be involved in Kwamboka’s death.
Kenyans are responsible for Kwamboka’s death
Social media users reacted strongly to the incident, expressing shock and sadness in the comments section.
zacharyokenye7206: “It’s very sad. If you don’t need someone anymore, let them go instead of killing them. Such behavior should be severely punished. If the relationship is no longer possible, let it go peacefully, not in pieces.”
elijah-r9k8k: “Killing someone has become very easy. Someone is killed in a few seconds, and then they are carried away in a boda boda to be thrown away. What have I seen? People without mercy.”
