This follows an incident where four girls from Shikaadabu Secondary School ran away from home in what appears to be a well-planned plan.

The 9th grade students reportedly left their homes on the morning of Monday, March 23, claiming they were going to school, but they never arrived.

Since they did not leave any trace of their disappearance, their parents felt panic only when the girls failed to return home that evening.

Worried, they contacted the teachers, who confirmed that the four students had not reported to school that day, adding to the panic.

How were the four missing girls in Mombasa found in Tanzania?

While the parents continued their efforts to quickly find them, one of them revealed that he received a call from a village elder in the country Tanzania informing him about his daughter’s condition.

He had been found in a neighboring country with three of his friends, reportedly looking for work. The girls were detained after questioning.

“There was a woman who found them and found out that they were Kenyans from the way they spoke. Their stories were unmatched, which made her suspicious, and she decided to take them to the village elder, who then contacted one of the parents in Kenya,” said one mother.

The last time the four students were seen in Diani, where it is believed they boarded a bus.

Residents suspect that someone in Likoni is luring schoolgirls to Tanzania with promises of well-paid jobs.

A few weeks ago, two other schoolgirls were returned home after being sent to Tanzania in search of work.

“This has been happening frequently, especially affecting young girls. There must be someone coordinating this, and he should be found and brought to justice,” noted one resident of Shikaadabu.

The parents reported the matter at the Inuka Police Station, where an investigation has begun to identify those responsible for luring young children with promises of well-paying jobs abroad.

The authorities will also accompany the parents of the four girls to the Lungalunga border to receive the children.
