Unlike many cases of missing people in the country, Andrew Kiprono Limo has gone missing while abroad.

The teenager has not been in contact with his family, with reports suggesting he may be involved in fighting in Russia, leaving his relatives unsure whether he is alive or dead.

His mother could not hold back tears as she asked the government to help them find him and reunite with their son.

Kiprono’s mother explains her request

“I can’t even talk. I want to see my son but I haven’t seen him and I can’t. I’m asking the government to help me bring my son back home, whether he’s alive or dead. I just want to know. I can’t sleep. I’m very depressed,” said Salome Mibei sadly, surrounded by family, friends and neighbors.

Mibei added that they did not know exactly where he went when he left for Russia six months ago, which was the last time they heard from him. Kiprono only told his family that he was going to work without giving further details.

“I am asking the government to help me please, even if it is just to see his face and know if he is alive or dead because I am in distress,” he added.

Kiprono’s grandmother speaks with emotion

Lucia Cherusi, Kiprono’s grandmother, supported Mibei’s words saying the whole family is worried about their brother. He asked the government to intervene so that they can find out what happened to Kiprono and find peace.

“Please, bring our son back if he is still alive, instead of us going around trying to find out his fate. Please, bring our son back,” Cherusi pleaded.
