In the past, Njugush and his wife marched to the gym and would share snapshots online.

The two would also record sessions in the car while Njugush was driving to the gym.

The two got married in December 2016, several years after meeting as students at the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC).

Their colorful wedding attracted several local celebrities, while Jackie Matubia and his girlfriend Izareeh being among the bridesmaids.

Over time, they shared snippets of their relationship online regularly, showing a seemingly solid union.

However, in their ninth year of marriage, netizens noticed that there was a change in Njugush and Wakavinye’s paradise.

They skipped their anniversary celebrations and didn’t post their usual Christmas family photos in matching pajamas.

Rumors about the possible separation gained popularity through anonymous messages shared by Edgar Obare, where a source claimed that the couple had broken up.

Further reports suggested that the comedian moved out of their Ruiru home with only a box of clothes.

The two were last seen together in December during their friend’s getaway attended by Abel MutuaJudy Nyawira, Eddie Butita and his wife, as well as Phil Karanja and his fiancé.

Around the same time, a person believed to be close to Wakavinye allegedly said that he wished Njugush well, adding that he deserved better.

Wakavinye also responded to one of his fans, revealing that the show would not be returning, further supporting the rumours.

Although they were known to perform together during the TNT comedy series, Wakavinye was missing from the sixth season poster.
