Zari married her husband, a boxer UgandaShakib Cham, in the last season of the show Young, Famous and Africanand since then the two seemed to be living a dream life.
Is Shakib betraying Zari?
Rumors that their relationship had hit a snag began to spread after a screenshot, allegedly from Zari’s official Facebook page, went viral claiming that Shakib had betrayed her.
The message said:
“I trusted you with everything. I came home early to surprise you. Instead I found you in our bed with another woman. My heart is broken, I can’t breathe. Everything we built was a lie.”
The screenshot raised questions among fans and tabloids, prompting many to speculate about the status of their marriage.
In a video she shared on social media, Zari directly responded to the rumours. He said the photo was edited and not real, questioning why someone would spread lies about his marriage.
“We live in a world full of sadness and pain. You interfere a lot in people’s lives… Why do you want to see people sad? Stop tracking ‘likes’ and ‘views’ through people’s lives,” he said in part.
Zari also criticized the person who shared the message, saying that the act shows more about his character than about him or Shakib.
Shakib has not made an official statement on the matter, although he shared a video on his Facebook Stories in which he appeared to be with Zari.
