Johana Ng’eno: Patrick Ntutu, Brother-in-law of a Deceased Member of Parliament Visits Grave and Comforts Widow

  • The governor of Narok County, Patrick Ole Ntutu, visited the grave of the late Johana Ng’eno a few days after the MP for Emurua Dikirr Constituency was buried.
  • Pictures shared online showed Ntutu standing respectfully beside a grave decorated with tiles and flowers, before comforting his widow, Naiyanoi Ntutu
  • Ntutu said he also delivered a message from William Ruto, including plans to name the affordable housing project in Shauri Moyo Street as Ng’eno.

It is less than a week since the late Emurua Dikirr MP, Johana Ng’eno, was buried, and her family is still trying to accept her sudden death.

The politician tragically lost his life while traveling from Endebess to Nairobi when the helicopter he was traveling with fell in Mosop.

Witnesses reported that the helicopter encountered problems due to bad weather and had to land for a while outside Chepkiep Forest before taking off again and crashing into the forest.

Ng’eno was buried in a somber ceremony on Friday, March 6, at his village home in Emurua Dikirr in a ceremony attended by politicians including the President William Ruto with his constituents.

What did Patrick Ole Ntutu do in Ng’eno’s grave?

A few days after the burial, Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu visited the grave of the late MP to pay his respects.

Photos shared on social media showed the governor standing calmly in front of a well-decorated tomb with tiles, wreaths, flowers and a cross on a tombstone.

Ntutu took off his hat as a sign of respect for his dead brother.

He was also seen in the late MP’s house with his widow, Naiyanoi Ntutu.

During the visit, Ntutu presented the promises made to the family by President Ruto during the funeral, including Shauri Moyo’s affordable housing project, which will be named Ng’eno.

“Early this afternoon I returned to Emurua Dikirr Constituency and visited the home of the late Johana Ng’eno to continue comforting her family, friends and residents during this difficult time,” said Ntutu.

Kenyans comment on Ole Ntutu’s visit to Ng’eno’s grave

Ntutu’s visit sparked a debate online with people expressing mixed feelings of sympathy and support for the family.

Kiprono Charles:The death of Mr. Ngong is very sad. It hurts me so much. But may he rest in peace Johana.”

Kirui Ken: “That man was truly a man of the people because many are still hurting in their hearts.”

Sammy Tanui:To be a regular visitor… That is the request of the residents…. After all, the family is still young.”

Anare Sanare:He said while he was still alive that I will be remembered for more than 200 years and that has begun.”

German Kibororin: “Congratulations governor, say sorry to Naiyanoi and the family in general.”

How many children did Johana Ng’eno have?

Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported that Ng’eno was married to one wifeNaiyanoi, and together they had two children, Cheruto and Chesang.

Naiyanoi is the daughter of wealthy Livingston Ole Ntutu, who is the half brother of Governor Ole Ntutu.
