The father of one of the students who lost his life spoke with pain after learning of his son’s death and opened his heart about the impulse of a parent’s inner feelings that led to the discovery of a tragic event.

“I came to see him this morning after missing him yesterday. When I looked at the door, I saw blood and immediately knew there was something wrong inside. We informed the police. I had no other information. I had only come to visit my son,” Moses Luvonga said.

It was alleged that one student killed a fellow student before he was later found dead in a separate room, while an investigation began to determine exactly what happened.

The two bodies were taken to the Kakamega Referral Hospital mortuary to await post-mortem as the police continue to investigate the tragic incident.

MMUST student’s neighbor speaks out

Jairus Okeyo, a neighbour, clearly explained how he broke down the door and found the two bodies in different rooms.

“I broke the door and found the body on the floor. I was told to wait for the police to arrive and take action. The body in front of the door was lying face down,” he said.

Residents gathered around the house to confirm the incident and see the crime scene while trying to come to terms with the news.

People on social media also expressed their shock and sadness, raising concerns about the welfare of university and college students.
