On March 6, heavy rains lashed the city, causing flooding, bursting the banks of the rivers and sweeping everything away, including people, cars and other property that had been left outside.
On that fateful night, water flooded many areas and sadly even entered houses, leaving people scrambling for higher ground and others swimming away from their homes.

Taji’s family found themselves in that situation, and while his little mother was able to save herself, she was unable to hold him, she got out of his arms. Since then, he has disappeared.
An official report on the matter has already been submitted at the Kware Police Station, and currently, his biological mother, known as Naomi Muthini Mutinda, is admitted to Mama Lucy Hospital, recovering from the incident.
How are Kenyan families doing?
The Taji family is one of many who have found themselves searching for their loved ones who were fine all day, but now they are nowhere to be seen.
The families have been searching for their loved ones in hospitals and morgues without success.
Some families, on the other hand, found their loved ones in the morgue and are now looking to begin funeral arrangements.
In that regard, some have asked the government to help them because they cannot find the money to bury their loved ones, as the incident happened to them unexpectedly.
In some cases, some people lost their businesses when the water entered their homes, and now they cannot find the money to bury them.
