It’s only been two years since veteran comedian Fred Omondi passed away, leaving his family and fans in mourning.

Fred was involved in an accident on Kangundo Road in the early hours of Saturday, June 15, 2024. According to the police report, he was riding a motorcycle on the wrong side of the road when the accident occurred near Consolidated Bank and three affiliated with Forward Sacco.
Fred died instantly at the scene.
How did Eric Omondi say goodbye to his brother?
In recent weeks, Eric Omondi he had embarked on a long journey to Busia to raise money for his charity Sisi kwa Sisi, which helps vulnerable Kenyans.

After four days on the road, Eric approached kiss on Friday, but before concluding the walk, he took a detour to visit their country house and pay his respects to his late brother.
Despite the heavy rain, the comedian traveled on a motorcycle to the family’s land to stand in front of Fred’s well-kept grave. The resting place was decorated with black and white tiles and surrounded by green trees.
Eric was seen in tears, as he contemplated life without his brother, capturing the event in a video he shared on social media. In the video, Eric added Charlie Puth’s See You Again, a song mourning the death of a loved one.
Part of the words highlighted in the tribute read: “It’s been a long time since we started, I’ll tell you all about it when I see you again. Why did you have to leave so soon? Why did you have to go when I needed you the most?”
The video included flashbacks of Eric and Fred, reminiscing about their time together.
In the comments, Eric wrote: “My house is 10 minutes from the town of Busia. I stopped to pay my respects to the legend.”

Has Eric recovered from Fred’s death?
In another story, Eric opened up about the pain of losing his little brother. The comedian-turned-activist admitted that he is not completely recovered and sometimes tries to push the pain aside.
He explained that their strong relationship and the struggles they shared while building their careers made the loss more difficult to bear.
