What did Oscar Sudi do to Nick Kosgei’s family?
Kosgei’s father also tearfully revealed that they are squatters and he did not have a piece of land to bury his son.
During Kosgei’s funeral, Sudi, who attended, offered to clear the balance and sent a message to Kosgei’s father.
“We came to apologize, because we were working with your son. We were elected in parliament to form a committee, and we said we will do everything well. That’s why we took all the bodies to Nairobi. We said we would bury them the same because Ngong (Johana Ng’eno) was a friend. He would walk with his people closely. Where would he sleep, that’s where they would sleep. I heard how the old man spoke with great pain, and the president also heard you and sought KSh 3 million. And I asked because last week Nicholas was he was asked for KSh 350,000 for the land, now he left without paying for it,” he said.
He gave the money on the spot so that they could get a piece of land and make sure that Kosgei could find a place to be buried.
“Even when he is buried, he will be buried in a debt-free country. As a father, take one child and leave him a dignified life when you remember your son,” he added.
