“We hired more instructors, expanded the educational infrastructure and improved the financing of higher education because the development of human resources is the main enabler for the transformation of our country,” he said.

He further emphasized that education remains the most obvious means of empowerment.

“The reason for expanding the educational infrastructure in this college is because we believe that the greatest empowerment we can give to the people of Kenya is to ensure that they gain knowledge through education and training. We will ensure that we continue to provide those facilities,” he added.

What did Ruto say about Oburu’s Power slogan?

After the official launch of the hostel project, the president changed into a lighter mood while interacting with the students.

In a humorous reference to the political discourse dominating social media, he joked, “Comrades power? I hear there are people looking for power. “Comrades power? I don’t know if it is your power or another power. What power is that?” he asked while laughing, causing cheers from the crowd.

In recent days, Oburu’s “we want power” statement has gone viral online, with Kenyans using it to create memes and humorous comments.

Did Oburu question where the ODM DJ is?

In a related incident, Oburu appeared surprised by Siaya’s meeting, when he was introduced without background music and openly questioned the absence of a deejay.

A few days later, the Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna revealed that Raila Odinga’s longtime deejay, Freddy Spider, had joined his Linda Mwananchi campaign team.

Sifuna said the DJ was serving as a volunteer and alleged that a rival group linked to Oburu was trying to persuade him to leave with a financial offer.

The senator insisted that he had no grudges about the possible move, as long as the deejay was paid a fair salary.
