After going viral because of his contact with Truhov, whose real name was revealed to be Vladislav Luikov, Choice found himself in Pastor Victor Kanyari’s church during a recent Sunday service.
What happened in the Kanyari church?
During the service, Choice was called to the altar, where he recounted his experience with the Russian national who went viral.
After his testimony, Kanyari gave him KSh 30,000 in cash, explaining that he wanted to help him start over after the controversy that put him in the public spotlight.
The preacher further announced that he would hold a face-to-face meeting with him in his office to explore ways to help him, including helping him start a business of his choice.
At the time, Choice seemed grateful for the gesture. However, he has now admitted that he regrets receiving the money.
Why does Choice regret receiving a gift of money from Kanyari?
In an interview with SPM Buzz, Choice claimed he felt pressured and deceived to receive the money.
He claimed that the pastor noticed he was nervous and shy before sending three guards to stand by him while he was preaching.
“Pastor Kanyari noticed that I was worried and a little shy. He sent three guards and started preaching that even big men should go through a man of God, that when God wants to lift you up, he must use people. He lied to me with a word. I knew from the beginning that I didn’t want any money. I didn’t like being a traitor for KSh 30,000. That can’t help me,” he said.
Choice explained that despite his doubts, the sermon made him doubt himself.
“I asked myself, am I too proud to refuse help? I wish I could take it back yesterday,” he added.
