“I have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from Kenyans from all walks of life, and I take this opportunity to thank them. It is comforting to know that you are not alone. It is comforting to know that if anything were to happen to me, there are other Sifunas out there. I have felt the love and support,” he said.

What did Mama Kanisa say to Sifuna after tear gas was thrown in Kakamega?
Speaking about his remarks during the Kakamega meeting, he revealed that one of his mother’s friends from the church group called and criticized him for some of the words he said after his followers were teargassed.
“He called me and said he was very disappointed with some of my remarks in Kakamega after being teargassed. But you know, teargas has a way of inciting certain emotions. So I told him that often people don’t know when they will be teargassed, and once the incident happens, you can raise your voice or even say the wrong word,” he said.
