Njugush Shares A Sweet Time With His Sons Amidst Rumors Of Breaking Up With Wakavinye

Rumors about the marriage of Njugush and Celestine Ndinda’s breakup continues to make headlines, but none of them have spoken publicly about the rumours.

The couple tied the knot in December 2016, a few years after meeting at the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC), where they were both students.

Their lovely wedding was attended by several local celebrities. Njugush and Wakavinye, as she is popularly known, shared their love journey on social media, showing a perfect match made in heaven.

However, in their ninth year of marriage, fans began to see cracks in their relationship.

Did Njugush and Wakavinye break up?

Unlike other years, the two did not celebrate their wedding anniversary, nor did they share family photos for Christmas, as was their custom.

Rumors about the couple’s alleged troubled marriage were first spread by blogger Edgar Obare.

The blogger invited his followers to share tea anonymously, and some of them, some of them claiming to be close to Njugush and Wakavinye, claimed they broke up in 2025.

One of the close friends claimed that Njugush has seen it all in marriage, saying he deserves better.

“As a woman, I’ve been waiting for this Cele story not to explode. Njugush has been through hell. It’s bad. Njugush and Wakavinye broke up last year (2025). I’m a close friend of Cele, but I wish Njugush the best! He deserves better,” a fan tweeted Obare.

The two fueled divorce rumors after Celestine appeared without her wedding ring in her latest video and photos.

Fans also noticed that the two were no longer liking each other’s posts and had stopped appearing on their podcast.

Njugush has also been promoting his upcoming show Through Thick and Thick season 6 (TTNT 6), and his partner, Wakavinye, was left on the posters.

On Sunday, February 22, Njugush shared a video from his home in Ruiru admiring a mango tree in his compound while it was raining.

In the background, his two sons, Tugi and Toria, were heard talking while playing. It is not known if Wakavinye was at home when Njugush recorded the video.

Njugush talks about marriage

As rumors about Njugush’s breakup with Wakavinye spread, a video of the award-winning comedian complaining about a difficult marriage surfaced.

In the video, Njugush compared their marriage phase to their dating phase. The comedian said that men feel suffocated in marriage compared to dating.

The mother of two reminded Njugush that a woman makes a man’s life easier, but Njugush dismissed her claims.
