For the past several months, Asenath had stopped using social media. She and her in-laws have had a dispute over her late husband’s assets.

Kiptum’s parents claim that they have not been receiving any help. They also claimed that their son-in-law left them and moved to Nairobi after traveling to Rotterdam.

Elder Cheruiyot added that Asenath is the only one receiving financial support from Kiptum’s management company, Golazo.

However, Golazo once told TUKO.co.ke that they have not separated the family.

Kiptum’s father claimed that Asenath has never visited her husband’s grave, and that they have not seen their grandchildren.

Asenath liked to share videos and photos online, showing her life and fashion styles.

After being attacked by her in-laws, she deleted her TikTok videos and stayed away from social media until recently.

He re-shared the video on Instagram Stories showing him enjoying time with his friends.

In the video, he was sitting in a restaurant enjoying drinks. He looked happy with his friends.

Many Kenyans have supported Asenath, saying she deserves to move on with her life after fulfilling her duty as a wife.

What did the Kiptum family reveal?

The late athlete’s father, Elder Samson Cheruiyot, remembered his son during the two year anniversary of his death earlier this month.

He revealed that he has been struggling to pay the fees of his grandson’s school.

Kiptum’s parents also acknowledged the presence of another woman who had a relationship with their son and her child.

In a previous report, Kiptum’s mother said she sends money to the woman and prays that one day their grandchildren will live together in peace and harmony.

In addition, Mzee Cheruiyot explained the challenges he encounters in trying to build his son’s grave with cement.

He also claimed that his son-in-law is in cahoots with a government official.

He claimed that Asenath and the government official have been exploiting their family since Kiptum’s death.
