Former president Uhuru Kenyatta he gave KSh 1 million to the bereaved family and promised to register the musician’s children at the Kenyatta Foundation.
Did Kanyari receive the money?
The preacher, on several occasions, admitted that he loved his ex-wife, and thought they would get back together.
In the same context, Kanyari noted that he respected the mother of his children and they had an understanding after the separation.
Bayo left Kanyari after the KSh 310 scandal that was posted on Jicho Pevu.
She moved on with her life and found love in the hands of another man, Hiram Gitau, known as Tash.
The preacher and his ex-wife continued to have a good relationship and were raising their children peacefully. Kanyari was paying her children’s tuition.
Kanyari also claimed that he did not know that Bayo was ill and that he would have taken him to India if he had known the seriousness of his condition.

Kanyari said that she questioned why people were giving her money when she was not Bayo’s widow.
“Just think, when my ex-wife, Betty Bayo, died, they did me a favor as if I were her husband. I was given KSh 1 million by people. Until I wondered if I should take the money, while I am not the present. I ate all the money. Today I don’t have much money. I have KSh 50,000. It’s not much, but please accept it,” he said.

Did Kanyari leak the messages?
In other news, the preacher leaked WhatsApp messages between him and his ex-wife to prove that he paid his children’s tuition.
In some of the messages, Kenyans noticed that Kanyari did not bother to send Bayo a response message, which made some to wonder if he fulfilled his request.
Others praised the preacher for being a good father to his children and for always serving them.
Kanyari noted that he leaked the messages because he knew Kenyans could easily turn against him. He also wanted full custody of his children.
He and Tash have since come to terms on the matter.
