Edwin Sifuna: Winnie Odinga Supports Former ODM SG after Expulsion

Sifuna was removed from office on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, following a decision by the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) during a meeting held in Mombasa.

The NEC cited issues of indiscipline and undermining collective decision-making as reasons for his removal.

Women’s representative of kissCatherine Omanyo, has been appointed as acting Secretary General until a full incumbent is elected.

On Thursday, February 12, Winnie Odinga appeared with Sifuna in a press conference where he spoke about his removal.
