Oburu said that ODM is the one forming the grand coalition, saying that it was important to be involved before taking over the position of the former chairman and prime minister. Raila Odinga.

“ODM was the largest party in Azimio. No one can make a decision in the coalition without the agreement of ODM, and you cannot pretend to appoint a new leader of Azimio, excluding and avoiding ODM. If ODM has not agreed, then there is no such thing as a resolution of Azimio,” he said while speaking on Wednesday, February 11, at a meeting of the National Central Committee of ODM (NEC) in Mombasa.

Will ODM leave Azimio coalition?

Oburu said that the Azimio alliance broke up after ODM left a long time ago.

He announced the party’s decision to leave Azimio and warned against reviving a dying organization.

“Azimio was dead when ODM left. We left a long time ago. It’s just a procedure that we haven’t implemented and we will do it soon. We will leave that dying organization called Azimio.

One should not be proud of something that he knows is dying, that he knows is dead. You raise the dead from the grave. We will leave,” he said.
