Onyonka had started throwing at the President William Ruto spades when the snake crawled towards the tent in front of him, causing fear and panic.

The people who were sitting under the tent looked very scared and confused. They threw chairs as they tried to chase away the creeping beast.

Onyonka, who at first did not know what was going on, asked the people to calm down, assuring them of safety.

“Calm down, no problem… sorry, it’s a snake. It’s okay. It won’t bite anyone, sorry, sorry,” said Onyonka.

The loud-mouthed politician had started to ask the president questions about alleged land-related corruption when the snake appeared and interrupted him.

“Mr. President William Ruto, how much land can you take?” asked the senator before the snake entered the meeting.

After the situation calmed down, Onyonka joked that the snake was sent by the president.

The senator accompanied Matiang’i and other Jubilee leaders to Nakuru for a public meeting to encourage the former minister’s desire to run for the presidency in 2027.

He asked him to respect the constitution, fight corruption and stop extrajudicial killings in the country if he is elected president.

“The people you see here have expectations of you. They may look like they are angry but not crazy. Their lives have been violated. These are smart people who studied until university but have nothing. If you become president, do not kill young people for no reason or anyone for any reason. And please, when you become president, do not steal our money,” pleaded Onyonka

What did Fred Matiang’i promise to the residents of Nakuru?

The former Minister of Interior and Education promised to restore order in the country if he is given the chance to serve as president.

He vowed to reform the education system and improve the performance of the Social Health Authority (SHA) to provide better services to Kenyans.

“We know what we have to do. We are not strangers to government activities. We want to start by reforming education and SHA so that they work for our people. We will also bring Linda Mama back,” said Matiang’i.

Last week, the deputy leader of the Jubilee party criticized President Ruto for claiming that the opposition leaders have no agenda or intelligence to take the country forward.

He claimed that the president has failed miserably and has no moral authority to preach or question anyone’s ability to serve as head of state.

Matiang’i accused Ruto of managing corruption and excessive use of resources, citing the reports of the Auditor General of Government Accounts and the Comptroller of the Budget.
