Member of Parliament for Mumias East Peter Salasya has announced plans to launch a leadership academy for prospective politicians in the 2027 General Election.

In a statement on his Facebook page, the young MP revealed that he will launch the program on March 15, 2026.
Will Salasya pay for his leadership training?
The MP said that the college will offer free online courses to students who want to become Ward Representatives (MCAs), MPs, female representatives, senators and governors who want to learn easily.
“On March 15, I am officially launching the PK Salasya Leadership Academy. Free lessons for future aspirants starting from MCAs, MPs, women representatives, senators, and governors. The classes are free online. We will conduct open distance training. Guide the aspirants, something must be done,” he said.
Salasya said the decision was based on his passion for politics and leadership, which has made him unconditionally trusted by his constituents and the country in general.
Salasya narrated his efforts to win a political seat in 2017 but he got only 254 votes.

He also revealed that he used to be a student at Egerton University and a charity donor there Nakuru to street children during his college days.
Furthermore, the member of parliament said that he does not belong to the ‘Tutam or Wantam’ factions whose main goal is to win the presidency.
“Peter Salasya is the best MP who has never paid a poll analyst to rate him; he is the only politician who compels Kenyans to love him, who is a free thinker not in the era of Wantam or Tutam but only speaks for Kenyans. He is the most loved politician for his stability in Western Kenya and throughout the country, and he has polluted his politics,” Salasya said.
Meanwhile, in 2025, Salasya announced his intention to run for the presidency and called on supporters to rally behind him to make the country look good again.
