“We all know that we are all human, but nothing prepared anyone for Raila’s death. There are no mourning protocols for someone of Raila’s stature. But it hit everyone hard. It was a very difficult time for the party, for the family, of course and the country as a whole. Even getting to Mumbai was crazy. Because we had never been to India. We got there, and Dad’s body was in the airway. It looked very lonely and disrespectful because I think they were just waiting for us to move him to bird,” he said.

Sifuna said that what made him angry was that he expected many of his friends to be on the plane to pick him up.

He also condemned the measures taken at the airport and the way the police handled people at the International Airport Kasarani.

“I was very angry. I was wondering who these people would take Mzee? I was very angry that in Nyayo Stadium, where he was the prime minister, there was a fight about him getting a police guard. Suddenly, we have police riders in front of his coffin taking tours of what should have been an inauguration ceremony. I was angry that they put black color to his ceremony in Nyayo Stadium. We had to pray and basically turn the plane. It was a very difficult time. The government handled the arrival of the body badly. of Raila Odinga,” he said.

He claimed that people died in the field because there was no sound system to talk to them and calm them down.

According to Sifuna, he does not even remember how they were given the task of bringing the body, as they were only three party officials.
