Nairobi – Deputy President Kithur Kindiki has strongly criticized the powerful former Interior Minister Fred Matiang’i.

Speaking at the United Democratic Union (UDA) candidate forum in Nairobi, on January 4, Kindiki accused Matiang’i of blindly criticizing the government’s plan Kenya First.

How Kindiki criticized Fred Matiang’i

The problem of the deputy said that the administration of the President William Ruto you are trying to fix the mess caused by the previous administration.

“I want to tell those who are talking about education, I want to repeat the point that the leader of the party said recently: we are trying to solve the mess you caused in the education sector. We will put up a billboard saying…’Men at work. Don’t disturb us; we are fixing the problems you left in the education sector,” Kindiki said.

According to Kindiki, many of the problems facing the education sector, including the challenges of the new curriculum, arose during Matiang’i’s tenure as Minister of Education.

What were Matiang’i’s achievements in the education sector?

The second leader suggested that the only record for which Matiang’i is remembered is the controversial sale of Ruaraka land.

Kindiki threatened to expose the former Interior Minister if he continues to criticize the programs of the Kenya First administration.

“What surprises us is that the people who were teaching us about education, during their leadership, all those problems came from when they were in office. Curriculum issues, shortage of teachers, and lack of classrooms – all these problems came from when they were in office. The only record of when they were in office is to sell school land in Ruaraka. We know who sold the land; they should leave us alone. We will shame them,” he said as the crowd cheered.
