Ezra, a young father who lost his wife in childbirth in 2023, sadly passed away after months of battling leukemia. According to those close to the deceased musician, the father of two children never fully recovered from the grief he had, and the situation was aggravated by the disease.
When the community learned of his death on January 18, 2026, it was deeply saddened by the couple’s two children.
Ezra was diagnosed with leukemia at the end of November 2025, and according to his brother Edgar, Ezra was complaining of severe chest pains caused by the accumulation of fluid in his chest from time to time, and when he went to the hospital, tests confirmed that the cancer had badly affected his lungs.

How was Ezra’s death received at home?
When Ezra’s body arrived home, there was great pain from the community members, and when they were allowed to see the body, they started crying in pain. Some people were seen shaking their heads in disbelief after seeing the body.
The body was taken to the church, where the family was encouraged to look to God in this difficult time and prayed after the pastor’s sermon.
“I know it feels bad and that you feel lonely after the death of your father, but look to God,” said the pastor.
