The visit follows a letter from the leader of the party DCP, Cleophas Malala, asking to meet with Kanja to file an official complaint and find a way to ensure the safety of the Opposition leaders.

In the letter issued on Thursday, January 29, the DCP party has listed 24 incidents where the police and terrorists have attacked Gachagua and his team in the past year.

The latest attack that caused public outrage occurred in Othaya, Witima ACK church, where police and masked people fired tear gas into the church and terrorized worshipers, including children, for more than 30 minutes for unexplained reasons.

Gachagua, who was an official guest, was quickly escaped by his security team, escaping through the back door and leaving the attacked area through a fence.
