50-Year-Old Woman Tries to Escape After Her 62-Year-Old Boyfriend Dies in Lojing’i

A 62-year-old man died tragically following what is alleged to be romantic activities in a lodge located in Mpongwe District, Copperbelt Region.

Copperbelt Police Commissioner, Mwala Yuyi, confirmed the incident, identifying the deceased as Shonge Sinalinga.

How did Sinalinga die?

According to the police, Sinalinga entered the guest room on January 24 at around nine in the afternoon with a 50-year-old woman, Pamela Chiwala, who is also from Luanshya.

Yuyi said that the deceased had previously complained about poor air quality in the room, Nkani reported.

Later, the staff of the room tried to investigate the situation and informed the reception officer at the gate, who was later informed that a man had passed out in the room.

When they got inside, the workers reportedly found Sinalinga lying on his back with no clothes on.

Later she put her clothes back on with the help of the male staff of the unit.

Why is Chiwala being detained?

The Chiwala woman, who was scared, tried to leave before being apprehended by the staff, who later informed the Masaiti Police Station.

Police say that a preliminary examination of the body did not reveal any sign of external injury.

The body has been taken to St Theresa’s Mission Hospital Mortuary, where an autopsy is expected to determine the exact cause of death.

This situation is being monitored while Chiwala is detained at the Masaiti Police Station.

The police have asked the public to avoid unfounded assumptions while the investigation continues to determine the full nature of the incident.
