Who is Patrick Dorgu?

But who is this ‘new feeling’? The 21-year-old Danish international arrived at Old Trafford in the January transfer window last year from Serie A side Lecce FC as Ruben Amorim’s first signing.

Before joining Lecce, he started his career with Danish clubs Nordsjælland and Akademisk Boldklub.

Why did Dorgu change his name?

Shortly after moving to England, Dorgu asked the club to change his name in all their accounts. It was his family’s request to respect their heritage and religion.

Therefore, moving forward, Dorgu was officially listed as Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu in the United club forums.

What does ‘Chinazaekpere’ mean?

As he explained to the club’s website, Chinazaekpere is an Igbo name meaning ‘God answers prayers’.

“That’s what my parents gave me when I was born. Religion means a lot to me; it’s been a big part of my life and my family’s. I’ve been praying since I was little, and I’m still praying. I don’t know if [dini] it has benefits [uwanjani]. It’s about always believing, believing that God has a plan for me, and for my work.”

Craig Pawson was banned from playing for two clubs

Apart from that, the referee in charge of Arsenal’s game against Manchester United has been banned from playing two teams.
