Music star of Tanzania Zuchu showed his mother, taarab singer Khadija Kopa, how much he loves her by gifting her a brand new car.

Zuchu, whose real name is Zuhura Othman, is married to a fellow Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz.
What car did Zuchu gift his mother?
Through his page InstagramZuchu shared a video that captured his mother’s emotions as she received a beautiful black Toyota Land Cruiser Prado with special numbers written Kopa.
The delivery of the car was carefully prepared, from a car dealer in Tanzania to his mother’s house, with Kopa completely unaware of the surprise.

When the car arrived, Zuchu and his family called Kopa to come out.
The singer was surprised by the luxury SUV and immediately burst into tears.
“You have been telling me that you wanted a new car, that the old one (we call it the school bus) is boring you, and that you wanted a Prado. I have bought you a Prado, come see it,” Zuchu said to his mother.
The family members who were there started singing and dancing as Kopa walked towards the car.
He stopped by the driver’s window to read a message from his daughter that expressed love and gratitude.
Zuchu even called Diamond to share that moment with him and show him how much his mother enjoyed the gift.
“I thank God and I pray that he continues to bless you and protect you from any kind of evil. He gives you a long life,” Kopa said.
What did Zuchu say about the gift?
Attaching the video with a description, Zuchu explained why the gift was so important to him.
“Yesterday was one of the best days of my life. I fulfilled one of my dreams by buying my mother her dream car. In fact, as a hardworking daughter, this is not a small thing for me. There is no greater happiness in the world than seeing your mother happy; it is a feeling that I cannot express in words. Alhamdulillah. I pray that all children with parents have the opportunity to fulfill their parents’ dreams,” he wrote.

He thanked Diamond for supporting him to achieve the prize, saying:
“I sincerely thank my husband, who has been supporting me in all my dreams and has never abandoned me. May Allah reward you for your kind heart and continue to increase your blessings every time you give.”

How much does the car that Zuchu’s mother gave as a gift cost?
A car dealer in Nairobi Denis Kimanthi told TUKO.co.ke that such a Prado costs about KSh 5.5 million (TSh 106 million).
He also shared some features that Kopa will enjoy.
“The car has a luxurious leather interior, modern safety and navigation system, spacious seats, high-quality sound system, and a powerful four-cylinder petrol engine. It is a car that exudes power and wealth. It has great appeal on the road,” he said.
The touching scene has gone viral online, with fans praising Zuchu for showing love and appreciation to his mother.

Do Kenyans love Zuchu?
In other news, Zuchu responded to rumors that he was booed while performing in Nairobi during the CHAN 2025 tournament.
A video that went viral online showed a section of the audience loudly singing the Kenyan national anthem during his performance, which some interpreted as a sign of defiance.
The situation was allegedly linked to online tension between Kenyan and Tanzanian fans.
In response, Zuchu strongly defended himself and denied the allegations that he was yelled at while shooting the show.
